- Center,
after understanding and appreciating the objectives and activities
of MAHE-BoP Chair, started collaborating with more intensity
with the Chair.

BoP
Chair and CRS have planned some joint activities for mutual
benefit.

The
Centre assisted Miss Cathelijne Huisill Veld, a research student
from Netherlands who has come to MAHE under MAHE-Philips Student
exchange programme, in her fieldwork.

BoP
Chair has asked CRS to undertake certain activities and assist
the Chair in achieving certain of its objectives.

Prof.
Harishchandra Hebbar, the Chair, Mr. Manjunath Maiya, Manager,
Philips are in constant touch with the Centre.

Dr.
Ir Marcel Van Gogh, Senior Scientist from Philips visited the
Centre and had a fruitful discussion.

Director,
CRS had a detailed tele-conference with Mr. Jan Roes of Philips.

The
Director of the Centre presented a paper in a Conference organized
by the BoP Chair.

Centre
contributed a chapter on 'rural linkages' in the newly created
portal of the BoP Chair.

Centre
contributed a chapter in the handbook 'Base of the Pyramid'
published by the Chair.

Centre
assisted the chair in organizing a workshop.
