Manjunatha Maiya is a Computer Science Engineer with a Master Diploma in Business Administration.

He started his career as programmer at the IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Mumbai Computer Science & Engineering department in 1992 ADA (Aeronautical Development Agency, Govt. India Ministry of defense) sponsored project- Aircraft system Maintenance simulator (ASMS). Subsequently joined ADA as Scientist "C" in 1993.

During this period, he worked primarily on ASMS platform development, technical charge for development of MIG 29 ASMS and LCA systems simulator. Successful exhibition of ASMS at Aero India 96 and project success highlights in Economic Times and Times of India newspapers.

In the year 1997 to 2004, he worked for MNC's mainly in LG Software and Transportation in various roles. As Project lead executed Application Program Interface (API) test engine project at Boston USA (Onsite) for 2 years. Designed Human Machine Interface System for GE DC Tier II Locomotive. Excellence Award for meeting Business Commitment of the Launch of DC Evolution Locomotives(Pre Production).

He joined Philips Software Center in the year 2005 January as a Project Manager. He is representing PHILIPS, for Manipal BoP Program, he will be operating from newly formed Philips BoP office at MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher Education) Life science center @ Manipal. His role calls for Project Management involving various projects on Philips-MAHE BoP (Base of the Pyramid) Program. In his view, the uniqueness of this program lies with "The Market First" approach. The project conceived from this program will have greater impact on organization and society as a whole. My role is to initiate scouting BoP research program and execute as many as pilot demonstrable projects. Manipal BoP Team fully committed to make this program successful one. I am looking forward to build sustainable relationship with Manipal university in developing a Product and services for Rural market for Philips New sustainable business initiatives.
