Professional experience:

Presently Philips BoP Chair at Manipal to:
  • Build a qualitative and quantitative understanding of today's health care needs, trends and aspirations for future developments in the rural area of Karnataka.
  • Support the design of value propositions that meet the rural health care needs through involvement and deliverables from MAHE.
  • Deliver road maps that describe the expected evolution of health care demand in Karnataka, and the desired product & service solutions from industry e.g. Philips.
  • About 23 years of teaching and research experience in the area of Electronics Design & Information Science.
  • Coordinator of the MS Medical Software of Manipal University. (This is a unique postgraduate program with health care industries.)
  • Coordinator of the Manipal Center for Information Science (MCIS) - Karnataka Microelectronic Design Center (Karmic) in the area of semiconductor chip design.
  • Coordinator Corporate training program in the area of Information Science for industries such as Intel, Honeywell Technologies, Infenion Technologies, GE - IBC.

  • Guided various projects at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate level.
  • Conducted courses in the areas of Microprocessors, Linux, and VHDL for faculty of neighboring Engg colleges.
  • Guide for the student's paper on 'Noise cancellation using DSP Processor" which was accepted by Texas Instruments paper presentation context in 1994.
